Qualifications:
Education: Degree in Graphic Design is preferred. However, extensive experience in graphic design and development of creative campaigns will be considered.
Experience: The vital components of this position necessitate experience no less than 5 years experience of graphic design. Experience specific to both web and print media is required. Must be able to envision and implement creative strategies.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Understands ministry landscape and desires to serve in ministry organization
- Possesses problem solving skills and critical thinking qualities
- Is highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, diligent, observant, and flexible
- Has experience with Mac computers, Adobe Photoshop & Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign
Job Description:
- Develop new designs by determining the needs of the client or brand manager, the message the design should portray, and the design's appeal to its target audience.
- Stay current in youth ministry culture and trends, the local church's ministry to teenagers, and the needs of the student pastor
- Gather relevant information and research by meeting with brand managers, organization leaders, creative teams, and the event staff in an effort to focus on trends and patterns in current student ministry
- Ensure branding, copywriting, photography, and design work cohesively in all communication strategies
- Create 2-D & 3-D artwork
- Fulfill graphic design requirements for 2012 Devoted Teens publication
- Fulfill graphic design requirements for Print Marketing, Trade Show, & Event Preparatory projects as assigned
- Fulfill Digital / Web graphic design requirements related to assigned projects
- Assist in paper & ink selection and the review of final mock-ups
- Attend & contribute to weekly marketing team meetings and other meetings related to design requirements
- Work with Lead Designer on priorities, production schedules, and project delivery
