Propel, a leadership track designed and presented by IMPACT 360, will launch this summer as part of Student Life camps offered in Georgia, Alabama, and Missouri. The goal of Propel is to encourage and equip young leaders to have a more compelling and godly influence on their peers and propel them into a life of service and Christian community.

Student Life is a ministry that equips youth pastors and youth ministry leaders with the tools to help grow their students into mature Christfollowers, including Bible studies, resources, missions experiences, conferences, and summer ministry events. The Student Life summer camp experience includes worship, relevant teaching, and serving opportunities within a “family group.”

For the first time, youth ministers with groups attending Student Life camp can choose from within their youth group students who have finished their sophomore year of high school and who exhibit exceptional leadership traits and potential. Those students will use the time at camp allotted for “family groups” to learn from IMPACT 360 graduates about the principles of servant leadership, biblical worldview, and vocational calling.

“One of my favorite areas of the disciple making process is watching someone become a leader and having influence in someone else's life,” said Roger Davis, Senior Vice President and Executive Director of Ministry Events for Student Life. “I believe IMPACT 360 is equipping the next generation of leaders, both in and out of the Church, to be grounded in the Word and therefore have impact on those in their area of influence. The opportunity to partner with IMPACT 360 to expose Student Life students to this is a nobrainer for us as we desire to see students grow in their faith, become leaders, and make disciples of all nations.”

IMPACT 360 graduates Mark Heath, Haley Manning, Robin Holtom, and Brad McDonald will have more than five hours throughout each day of camp to teach the principles that they learned at IMPACT 360 and have put into practice during college. Topics include understanding worldview, how to engage culture with a Christian worldview, and defining servant leadership, with an introduction to the Chick-fil-A model of leadership.

IMPACT 360 is a nine-month program that challenges students to know what they believe and why, to understand God’s calling in their lives, and to develop and foster authentic Christian community. Since 2006, IMPACT 360 has produced more than 50 graduates who are motivated to not only affect their campuses with biblical truth, but to use their godly example to impact the rest of the world.

“This is an exciting time for IMPACT 360 as we begin what we believe will be a lasting and successful partnership with Student Life,” said IMPACT 360 Director Larry Cox. “Our goal is to equip students to not only apply the principles of servant leadership and biblical worldview to their own lives, but to share their knowledge and experience with others as well. Propel offers our graduates an opportunity to influence their peers for the purpose of Kingdom growth.”

Propel will be offered at five Student Life camps in June and July in Lookout Mountain, Ga., Talladega, Ala., Lake of the Ozarks, Mo., and Taccoa, Ga.
