Qualifications:
Education: B.A. or B.S. required. Courses in web development, programming and graphic design desired.
Experience: At least 5-8 years of demonstrated leadership in the area of web development and programming.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Job Description:
Marketing and Sales
- Provides leadership, strategy, and policies for effective Web-based marketing communications, especially in support with emphasis on using new media to build and sustain relationships between Student Life and key audiences.
- Provides strategic consultation, planning, and leadership in matters related to Web communications technology. Assists in the discovery, adaptation, and thoughtful, productive incorporation of blogs, podcasts and other technology into operations.
- Provides support for users of the in-house Web content management system. Monitors training and consulting needs and assists users in finding resources. Leads creation of guidelines and documentation for users.
- Coordinates product launch and Web delivery and content publishing across software platforms in Octane 8, CMS and Drupal.
- Works collaboratively with IT to ensure that technology resources and priorities effectively support new media communications and that new media communications technologies work appropriately with the company's overall technology standards and goals.
- Coordinates technology, marketing and sales research in support of strategic web planning and execution.
- Identifies and evaluates emerging technologies to enhance new media communications.
- Hires, coordinates and evaluates vendors, freelancers and contracted consultants.
- Manages new media online initiatives.
- Improves key performance metrics such as overall traffic, feedback scores, quality of leads and conversion goals.
Solution Development and Delivery
- Creates efficient and logical web solutions for the company and its customers.
- Designs and codes superior technical solutions.
- Easily recognizes system deficiencies and implements effective solutions.
- Builds relationships with consultants and enlists their opinions on Student Life web strategy and objectives.
- Oversees all vendors and service providers related to web and internet business solutions.
- Maintains a sales lens in creating these solutions.

- Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Communicates and enforces coding standards and consistency.
- Manages resources within budget and project schedule.
