Liberty University

Liberty University is a private Christian institution located in Lynchburg, Va., south of the historic James River in the heart of central Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains. It’s a warm and relaxing campus in an area that is rich in southern culture, full of breathtaking landscape, and brimming with centuries of history. Landmarks such as Appomattox Courthouse and Monticello, for example, are only an hour from campus.

Liberty was founded almost 35 years ago on Christian principles that are evident in its second year of ministry partnership with Student Life. Liberty values students as intelligent, Christ-seeking individuals who need an environment that fosters personal and spiritual growth. The facilities available to Student Life campers, from the Vine Center worship audiorium to the dorm-style housing to the superb cafeteria, are further proof of Liberty’s commitment to excellence in Christian ministry. Students can come to this campus and find a place custom-fit for their weeklong spiritual pursuit of God.

The community of Lynchburg also provides some of the Student Life staff’s favorite community partners and sites for Student Life Mission Camp opportunities. The area is easily accessible and conducive to a Christ-like servant’s desire to help others through practical acts of service.
