TRANSPORTATION

We recommend you have transportation available throughout your week at camp. Most hotels & condos properties will require group leaders to provide transportation to the Event Center. If you plan to bringing buses, we recommend you have a standard size vehicle to use for those late night runs to grab ice cream for your awesome adult leaders or any other unexpected situations that may arise. Please also note that most beachfront condos do not allow bus or trailer parking.

SLEEP

Student Life has partnered with some area hotels and condos so you can book your own rooms at a discounted rate! This gives you the flexibility and control to have the number of rooms & types of rooms you need to best accommodate your group! Want to arrive 1 day early or stay an extra night? Coordinate your needs with the housing option of your choice! Head over to the Beach Page to find more details (select the Orange Beach button).

MEAL PLAN (optional)

A meal plan that includes 6 meals is available for $90 per person.

What meals are provided?

Lunch and dinner on day 2, 3 & 4 (if your camp stars on Monday, your meals would be on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday). Meals will be provided by area restaurants.

Can I order meals for just part of my group?

No. Meals will be ordered for everyone in your group excluding those with a status of C1 (please see housing list instructions for status codes).

Where will the meals be served?

More details to come.

What time will meals be served?

Lunch will be available at 11am, following the morning session. Dinner is planned for 5pm. Rotations may be added, more to come!

If the Menu lists multiple entrees, can I choose my entree in advance?

No, selections will be served first come first serve.

What about food allergies?

These should be noted on your attendee list 35 day prior to arrival (same date your balance is due). This info will be passed along to those preparing food. Attendees with food allergies will be given a marked wristband allowing us to know who will need alternate meal options. Food allergies noted after the deadline may not be able to be accommodated due to food ordered in advance. Double check with everyone in your group!

Can I adjust my meal numbers after 35 days out?

We will not be able to decrease your numbers or switch your meal plan after your deadline (35 day prior to arrival same date your balance is due), adding a couple people following this date should not be a problem unless we see significant increases in numbers. We will not be able to increase after June 1st.

Why is 35 days out such a hard deadline?

We make financial commitments to our locations and food vendors on this date. Large orders of food are placed based on the commitments we make.

Do I need meal tickets?

At check-in you will be given a wristband that must be worn in order to receive meals. Please assist your group in putting these wristbands on so they are not too tight or too loose.

Who should I contact if my question isn't listed?

Please contact Danielle Sullivan: danielle@studentlife.com or 1-800-718-2267

Dean Inserra

Camp Pastor

Bethany Barr Phillips

Worship Leader

Dean Inserra

Dean Inserra is the founding and lead pastor of CITYCHURCH, where he leads the vision and preaching. Dean was called to start a church in his hometown of Tallahassee when he was the Student Body President at Leon High School. He is passionate about reaching the city of Tallahassee with the Gospel, to see a worldwide impact made for Jesus.

Dean graduated from Liberty University and attended Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. He holds a MA in Theological Studies from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and is pursuing a D.Min from Southern Seminary.

Dean is an advisory member of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission’s Leadership Council with the Southern Baptist Convention. He is also a member of Baptist 21.

Dean is married to Krissie, and they have two sons, Tommy and Ty, and a daughter, Sally Ashlyn. Dean likes baseball, wrestling, and the Miami Hurricanes. He believes Tom Brady is the greatest quarterback, and that everyone who disagrees holds the right to be wrong.

Bethany Barr Phillips

Leading worship and sharing her story of healing, Bethany Barr Phillips takes eight years of church staff experience to the road with a vision to share the Gospel through worship. She has opened for artists such as Andrew Peterson and Bebo Norman, been in lineups with Audio Adrenaline and Toby Mac, and has led worship on platforms with gifted speakers like Scott Dawson, David Nasser and Dr. Jay Strack. Through these experiences, her heart for leading worship and seeing God move among His people only becomes greater.

In January of 2006, Bethany was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer after miscarrying her first child. After six months of chemotherapy, she is now living cancer free. She is mother to Isaiah Jewel and wife to Andy Phillips.

Student Life is excited to have Bethany Barr Phillips leading students in glorifying Christ through praise this summer.
