Smokies

Sevierville, TN

This picturesque location offers a blend of the great outdoors in the Smoky Mountains National Park, Tennesse’s largest waterpark at Wilderness at the Smokies and fun entertainment that your students and adults will enjoy. It’s camp at a waterpark resort, but Sevierville is a setting that proudly boasts of a “Southern” atmosphere fueled by local hospitality. That combination makes for an environment suited perfectly to students for worshiping God and studying His Word.

TRANSPORTATION

We recommend you have transportation available throughout your week at camp. While the hotel rooms we're using are in an area connected to the Convention Center, you may decide you'd like transportation to explore the area. If you plan to bring buses, we recommend you have a standard size vehicle to use for those late night runs to grab ice cream for your awesome adult leaders or any other unexpected situations that may arise.

Sleep

Rates listed on the Registration page is the cost per person based on max occupancy in each room. Rates increase by $10 if deposit is paid after January 31. Hotel rooms will be in the Stone Hill Lodge (building closest to convention center) and sleep 4 or 6 depending on bedding. Rooms that include 2 queen size beds - sleep 4 people. Rooms with 2 queen beds plus a sleeper sofa will sleep 6 people.

Can we use the waterpark at Wilderness at the Smokies if we stay someplace else?

No. Only those staying at Wilderness at the Smokies will have access to their waterpark.

Is Soaky Mountain included as one of the waterparks at Wilderness at the Smokies?

No. Soaky Mountain is open to the public and is it's own amusement/waterpark.

Eat

2 meal plans will be available if you choose to add one to your registration! Pricing will be on the registration page once rates are available.

What meals are provided?

The 7 meal plan includes Dinner on Monday; Lunch and dinner on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The 10 meal plan includes breakfast on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in addition to the meals in the 7 meal plan.

Can I order meals for just part of my group?

No. Meals will be ordered for everyone in your group excluding those with a status of C1 (please see housing list instructions for status codes).

Where will the meals be served?

All meals will be served in the South Exhibit Hall of the Convention Center. The allergy line will be in the East Concourse.

What time will meals be served?

If the Menu lists multiple entrees, can I choose my entree in advance?

No, selections will be served first come first serve.

What about food allergies?

These should be noted on your housing list 35 days prior to your event. This info will be passed along to those preparing food. Attendees with food allergies will be given a marked wristband allowing us to know who will need alternate meal options. Please note: peanut oil may be present in some of the kitchens of restaurants. Food allergies noted after the deadline may not be able to be accommodated due to food ordered in advance. Double check with everyone in your group!

Can I adjust my meal numbers within the 35 day out deadline?

We will not be able to decrease your numbers or switch your meal plan after the deadline, adding a couple people following this date should not be a problem unless there is significant increases in numbers.

Why is the deadline 35 days out?

We make financial commitments with both hotels and food vendors on this date. Large orders of food are placed based on the commitments we make.

Do I need meal tickets?

At check-in you will be given a wristband that must be worn in order to receive meals. Please assist your group in putting these wristbands on so they are not too tight or too loose.

    Camp Pastor

    Vertical Worship

    Worship Leader

    Social Club Misfits

    Concert Artist

    D. A. Horton

For over 16 years D.A. used the medium of Rap music as a tool to help educate the people of God on the precepts of Scripture as well as how to evangelize to the lost by presenting them with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

D.A. serves as Pastor of Reach Fellowship, a church plant in North Long Beach, CA and as Chief Evangelist for the Urban Youth Workers Institute. Prior to his current roles, he served as an Adjunct Professor at Calvary Bible College teaching systematic and contemporary theology courses, an urban church planter/pastor in Kansas City, MO, a National Coordinator of Urban Student Ministries at the North American Mission Board (NAMB) and the Executive Director at ReachLife Ministries, the non-profit ministry of Reach Records.

D.A. earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Studies at Calvary Bible College and his Master’s Degree in Christian Studies from Calvary Theological Seminary. D.A. is currently working towards his PhD in Applied Theology with a North American Missions emphasis at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

With a heart to provide local churches with quality Bible-centered tools and resources for evangelism and discipleship, D.A. wrote three books; G.O.S.P.E.L., DNA: Foundations of the Faith both published through Moody Publishers; his third book, Bound to Be Free: Escaping Performance to be Captured by Grace, was published through NavPress.

He and his wife Elicia have two daughters, Izabelle and Lola and one son, D.A. Jr. (aka Duce).

    Vertical Worship

Based in Chicago, Vertical Worship is a collective of Worship Leaders and Songwriters from multiple campuses across Harvest Bible Chapel. Their songs include “Open Up The Heavens”, “Spirit of the Living God”, “Exalted Over All”, “Lamb of God”, Found in You” & “The Rock Won’t Move”.

The idea that worshiping Jesus Christ is best done not when we just sing about him or what he has done or what he will do in the future. The highest and best worship is modeled by what the angels do: sing to God about God. Vertical.

Their latest release is a studio album with the most popular songs from the history of Vertical Worship re-imagined with new and exciting arrangements for Worship Leaders and worship music enthusiasts.

    Social Club Misfits

Social Club Misfits is comprised of Marty and Fern from Miami, Florida. The duo is the after-effect of two distinctive personalities meshing to create an invigorating sound. The self-monikered “Misfits are disruptors in every sense, challenging norms and bringing other misfits along for the ride.

With a host of projects and EPs under their proverbial belt, they have made a sport of pushing boundaries and redefining the possibilities of what faith-based music can accomplish. From headlining sold-out tours across the country to spawning imitators the world over, it’s clear the duo has struck a chord with listeners from all walks of life.
