Centrally located in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, this campus provides ample indoor areas to beat the heat for Bible study, while also offering quiet spaces under shady trees for personal prayer and reflection. Free time options include indoor basketball, tennis courts, bowling alley, foosball, Ping-Pong, recreation fields for soccer or ultimate Frisbee and snack shop.

EAT

While at University of Texas at Arlington, meals on campus are served in the cafeteria on the first floor of the University Center. Students will not be disappointed by the variety of food stations offered including: a pizza bar, salad bar, sandwich bar, hot food line and dessert bar. All food is served buffet style, ensuring that no student will go hungry.

SLEEP

Guys: 2 or 3 per room; suite or hall bathrooms Guys: 2 or 3 per room; suite or hall bathrooms Student Life camp plans to use the following residence halls: Arlington Hall (largest dorm located next to the cafeteria), KC Hall, Lipscomb North and South Halls. Trinity Hall (located next to the worship center in Texas Hall) and Brazos Hall.

    TJ Gilliam

    TJ grew up in rural, Little Rock, AR. He has been married to his high school sweetheart since 2003 and has two middle school-aged children. While in college at Arkansas Tech University, TJ met Jesus at the age of 20 and has never been the same. He was a student pastor for 15 years in Arkansas and Tennessee prior to joining Strength to Stand (a student conference, camp, and tour ministry in Birmingham, AL). TJ has spoken in churches, camps, conferences, retreats, Firefighter schools, school systems and events all over the country and internationally. He is currently the Directional Pastor at Christ City Church and on staff at Mission of Hope: Haiti as a Church Partner Specialist. He has a passion to share the Gospel and make disciples everywhere he goes.

    This is SL/Worship, a worship experience that will serve as a catalyst for the spiritual formation of your students. SL/Worship is a collective of individuals who have a passion and talent for leading worship and working with students. We love to serve your church by connecting students to God’s word through worship and the Word.
