Bethany Barr Phillips
Worship Leader

Claude Atcho
Claude was raised in the suburbs of north Seattle where he developed a love for books and basketball. In college, he encountered Christ in a profound way and gained a deep passion for communicating the gospel to non-believers. After a few years of pastoral ministry in Washington State, Claude and his wife, Kelsey, moved to Boston to plant a church in one of the least churched cities in America where God empowered Claude to communicate the gospel clearly and faithfully to skeptics and seekers alike.
After five years of church planting in Boston, Claude now serves in a multi-ethnic church in Memphis, TN where he invests his time preaching, discipling, and living on mission in his neighborhood. Claude holds a BA and MA in English Literature from Western Washington University and is currently completing his Mdiv at Southern Seminary. Claude is also a former English professor having served both in university and community college environments.

Bethany Barr Phillips
Leading worship and sharing her story of healing, Bethany Barr Phillips takes eight years of church staff experience to the road with a vision to share the Gospel through worship. She has opened for artists such as Andrew Peterson and Bebo Norman, been in lineups with Audio Adrenaline and Toby Mac, and has led worship on platforms with gifted speakers like Scott Dawson, David Nasser and Dr. Jay Strack. Through these experiences, her heart for leading worship and seeing God move among His people only becomes greater.
In January of 2006, Bethany was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer after miscarrying her first child. After six months of chemotherapy, she is now living cancer free. She is mother to Isaiah Jewel and wife to Andy Phillips.
Student Life is excited to have Bethany Barr Phillips leading students in glorifying Christ through praise this summer.
